Aperture It is usually expressed in f- stop such as f/1.4 and stated on the name of the lens. For example ,the Nikon 35mm, f/1.4G lens has a maximum aperture of f/1.4,whereas the maximum aperture that change depending on focal length. In photography .The aperture stop of a photographic lens can be adjusted to control the amount of light reaching the film or image sensor .In combination with variation of shutter speed ,the aperture size will regulate the film's or image sensor's degree of exposure to light.

What is f/2.0 aperture in camera?
An f-number of 2, expressed typically as f/2, means the focal length is twice the size of the aperture , f/4 would be a focal length 4 times the aperture, and so forth f/2.4 is a half stop less than f/2.o, therefore an f/2.0 lens transmits 50% more light to the sensor.
Shutter speed

Shutter speed is a measurement of the time the shutter is open, shown in seconds or fractions of a seconds :1 s,1/2 s, 1/4 s,... 1/250 s,1/500 s, etc... .In other words ,the faster the shutter speed the easier it is to photograph the subject without blur and "freeze"motion and the smaller the effects of camera shake.
A fast shutter speed is often referred to the shutter speed that is fast enough to freeze action. Typically, photographers refer to small fractions of a second, such as 1/250th of a second or faster when talking abut fast shutter speed

A slow shutter speed is typically around 1 second and longer. In comparison a slow shutter speed can refer to a fraction of a second ,such as 1/2 or
What is shutter speed and ISO?
Shutter speed controls the duration of the exposure . ISO speed control sensitivity of your camera's sensor to a given amount of light. what ISO should I set my camera To? For example at aperture of f/3.5,shutter speed of 1/125th of a second and ISO 200 ,if you were to increase the ISO to 400, you would need twice less time to properly expose the image .This means that you could set your shutter speed to 1/250th of a second and your image would still come out properly exposed.

How do you balance shutter speed and ISO?
Manually set your aperture to the same number as wrote down ,which should be the lowest number your camera lens will allows (in our example it is 3.5)Then set your shutter speed to the number you wrote down (in example it's 125)and keep your ISO the same -200.
So if you are shooting with a 500mm lens, you should set your shutter speed to 1/500 or higher . If you are using a DSLR that has a crop factory you have to multiply by the crap factor For example most Nikon SLRs has a 1.5 crap factor-for the example above you will to set the shutter speed to 1(500*1.5)=1/750.

Is F stop shutter speed? A aperture f/stop and shutter speed are both used to control the amount of light that reaches the film .Opening the aperture wider such as f/16 to f.2.8 allows more light to get though the lens.
What mode do professional photographers shoot in ?
The two most popular modes used by professional photographers are Manual and Aperture priority Remember , professionals were once beginners too. so Enjoy your camera experiences ,no matter which mode you chose.
